Trip of FAFF!!! - 09 Mar 2008

Could this trip have been any more faffy?!? High water levels plus incoming storm of doom means we choose to do rowten.
1) arrive at container a bit late...
2) attempt to leave container only to find out that I need a new car battery. Get jump start from Andy.
3) slow traffic.
4) EFFICIENT (no, really) breakfast at bernies see's us catching up time and leaving before midday.
5) get to parking for rowten to find seven cars, at least one going down jingling and three down rowten. Head back to bernies to consider options.
6) tea
7) head to marble steps to find about 8 cars there with one team just about to head down marble steps.
8) head to alum to realise that we might only be able to get half way down due to the water levels, and the massive storm cloud coming over the top of ingleborough would make things unpleasant for those waiting to descend.
9) head to bull pot farm, rescue grotto-blaster mk2, but find three trips down lancaster and one down cow pot.
10) declare defeat and head to the wheatsheaf for a pint before heading home, only to drive into a ditch trying to pass someone coming the other way on the road out from bull pot farm. Get a tow from a friendly farmer.
11) 40mph traffic all the way home ;@
