Went down Corky's, which is quite small but enjoyable going down and without tackle sacks. I can imagine coming back up with tackle sacks would be very tiring. As it was the winch meet GG main chamber was lit up with massive flood lights, which added some novelty, though I've already seen GG main chamber about a dozen times before.
We then tried to go along the original Hensler's crawl from GG main chamber to reach Henslers, and from there to Disappointment. Apparently there is a new entrance, "Marilyn", which drops into the lower part of Disappointment, avoiding the ducks (which would have been impassable as it had been raining a lot).
Unfortunately we didn't realise quite how long and arduous the original Hensler's crawl is - a very, very long, flat out bedding plane with lots of grit and rocks and pools of water. When we reached a particularly low and wet section a debate ensued as to whether it would soon end/get better or whether it was going to go on for hours and get steadily tighter and wetter. In the end we opted to turn back and, totally knackered, returned to the surface via the nice & easy Bar Pot.
N.B. there are three passages called "Henslers". The one we did is "Henslers crawl" and goes from GG main chamber to Disappointment, whilst "Mud Henslers passage" goes from Mud Hall to Disappointment. I think I have done Mud Henslers before and don't remember it being anywhere near as long or strenuous or wet as long Henslers, so for future reference if you want to do exchanges with Corkys or main chamber, use that instead. There is also a third passage called "New Henslers Passage" that goes from Bar Pot to Disappointment. With all respect to the people who dig out passages in GG, I think they need some work on their naming scheme.
