Saturday May 10th 2008

Was a plesent trip in the cave. Scariest part was getting there as I had left a party at 3am went home got up at 5am to go to work and then caving at 8am. Very tired. Back to cave. Was a fun touristy trip for me no rigging or derigging. After much arguing Andy was made the leader and so all responsibility was left with him. I love the caves in the area but hate that b*stard hill. Was very short quick trip down. On the way up I made efficient use of my foot jammer and whizzed up the rope, or at least I think I did. Was first out of the cave into the sunshine and did what any (in)sane caver would do and strip off. After much sunbathing Marianna started to get worried about Andy and Matt who were derigging. We sunbathed some more and then I decided it would be fun to go back and rescue them. Put my SRT kit on and went back down in my wellies. Didn't want to get wet feet now. Found Andy all mangled up and needing rescue. No not really. They left a tackle sack at the very bottom and had to go back to get it. Andy unloaded a tackle sack on me and I had to drag it out. Don't prussic with a tackle sack between your legs if you've only got your boxers on. It hurts, alot. After we went my car started to die and we were stuck going very slowly behind the landrover. Then off to Gary's BBQ at his new house where Dom went swimming :p. Very long day as I went to bed at 3am again. Big lay in on Sunday though.
