Finally got round to doing Cow after a failed attempt ages ago. The day started with an interesting route to Ingleton via the A1M Southbound (don't ask), but despite that, and not getting out of bed until half 8, we arrived at Ingleton by 11am!

A super efficient trip! We got up to the end of Montague West to see the pritties and back out in about 3 hours! Some interesting rigging at the top of Fall Pot; I thought it was about time I refreshed my rigging skills after spending most of last year digging in the Moors. After some thought about how to tie a butterfly, I got there in the end with an interesting swing over the top of Fall Pot. One of the most spectacular descents I've ever done, Fall Pot is far more vast than I'd ever noticed before from below.

Worth remembering that the CNCC rigging guide isn't correct. It specifies 30m for the entrance, 30m for the traverse to Fall Pot and 60m for Fall Pot itself. In fact, this is just more faff than is required and the 60m would have done the traverse as well. Probably about a 70m is ideal.
