Selside Cave - 17th Oct 2010

Selside Cave is just over the wall from the entrance to Wilson's Cave and Diccan. It is pretty short but is a through trip. It goes from one field to another under the wall, so could be used as a way of avoiding climbing over the wall! ;-)

The entrance nearest to Wilson's Cave has a low bedding plane going off in one direction which Marcus explored for a few metres before giving up. The opposite way is a low arch which leads down into a small streamway which is like a small version of Long Churn. After a while, it gets lower. I turned back at this point because I couldn't be arsed to crawl (and also see below).

Kev, Marcus, and Imogen then went in and Marcus and Imogen did the through trip. Imogen gained some extra veggie points for crawling through the manky sheep in the far entrance. We thought Marcus gained some points too but apparently he is no longer a veggie!

Kev thought better of not going through the sheep! The sheep was also a reason for my not doing the through trip! Then again, I soloed the cave so I get more HB points!
