Ibbeth Peril 1 (Aborted attempt)

Wet wet wet. It had been reasonably dry lately so it had been suggested that the water levels would be low enough for Ibbeth Peril. Not so! Steven tried to get to the entrance and had to swim to get close so we decided to abort the mission. It was also getting too late in the day to change plans and still get back to the bunk barn in time for the xmas meal. Bums. Looking at pictures of the entrance in normal conditions, the water on our trip was good metre or so higher.
However, instead of caving we stopped at Hawes on the way back, where we gorged ourselves on free samples of cheese at the Wensleydale Creamery - yum! Fun rating increased.
