A fun cave with picturesque entrance.

BPOTW is an open shaft a few hundred meters from Bull Pot farm surrounded by trees, bluebells and a mysterious edible plant.

There are two ways in, a direct abseil with a rebelay over a ledge, of for those of the climbing variety a sneaky side route.

In fact there is a sneaky side route allowing multiple ways down this short but ridiculously expansive cave.

We took the direct 4 pitch to the bottom version.

when you reach the small bottom chamber you are parralel to a multi level rift. you can climb down to the sump, or with a bit of help from chucks shoulder step into the higher rift. this rift goes for more than a few hundred meters in each direction (that's how far we looked). If you head right there are a variety of branching passages that look like they work, but look like quite hard work. Left is more entertaining as you enter nice pools of liquid clay which can be used to decorate any wives or Chucks that are available.

coming back up is far more interesting as we met some divers from red rose who pointed out everythign was free climbable.

Although looking highly unlikely, I put this to the test and found all the pitches quite fun. The top half of the bottom pitch looked impossible as was pretty hard to navigate while decending, but offered the best climb.

A very fun, very muddy day. :)
