Report by Alastair Gott

the day started with the purchase of a blindingly white helmet, note for future referance it was actually white when i got it.
we parked up and me and mark got out, while ade and cat were driving round the entire of ingleborough mountain to actually find signal for a callout, me and mark just had a little sunbathe/picture of ingleborough.

then it was time to get changed, cat really didn't want to get changed even saying "i don't want to put any clothes on".
we wandered over to the mere entrance and cat had a poke down to see whether the crawl was full of water, it was so the decision was to try the aven entrance.

so cat went down again followed by mark. i really didn't like the crawl at all, came out sweating because i had to get a tacklesack through as well as myself, at one point i thought i was stuck as i couldn't get my arms out to push the tacklesack further and couldn't really wriggle back- pause for thought- "you can get yourself through this".

the rest was pretty easy and fun, except at the start of pitch 3 where the traverse was over a hole and there were limited hand and foot holes- i have absolutely no idea how ade rigged that part and mark did a really good job derigging when he was ill.

the bit that i want to call the streamway between pitches 4 and 5 was quite good and enjoyable, i've decided i love streamways, so fun. we didn't actually get down pitch 5 as we had decided before ade started rigging that we probably wouldn't have enough time, but with ade's rigging anything seems possible.

we turned round.
sorry is lots of work on so will complete later...
