There was all manner of technical ropey what-have-you: weird rebelays with no slack, tight deviations with no ledge, big traverses, y-hangs dropping down into space, etc. I was really having to concentrate to remember what on earth I was supposed to be doing, and didn't always manage with much style or efficiency, but funtimes anyhow!
I was only underground for something like 2 or 2 and a half hours - it was already rigged by team 1, and then I was the first member of team 2 to leave. I hardly had to wait at any point, and was kept blissfully warm almost the whole time by incompetently faffing around with ropes.
One of the most efficient trips I have ever done, followed by a sub-grade-1 change in baking sunshine. Really not how I remember caving at all.
