A leisurely Sunday trip, armed with a survey, with the aim of exploring various side passages, joining together some of the sections along the usual route near the entrance. This mostly involved going round in circles a lot in order to choose the passages we hadn't been down before, but it was good when we got to junctions that we recognised and so could piece it all together. A brilliant route in a classic cave! From the opposite end of the Rowten pothole to the eyehole, a bolt on the top of a low rock leads to another one on a big boulder at the edge of a jumbled slope of boulders in the top of the gully.
