The plan for an elite midweek breakaway trip was somewhat foiled by a visit to Ziggy's the previous evening. Still, I only fell asleep at the wheel once which I consider pretty good going, all things considered.
The walk up the hill was thoroughly unpleasant in the heat, and by the time we found the cave we had nearly slacked off due to a hangover/dehydration combination. To add further insult to probable impending injury, the rope we had taken for one... read more

Timings above are somewhat out, I don't think the first group got underground before 1.30pm. Beautiful cave, badly executed trip thus the low fun rating in my vote but a cave I would love to repeat.

This was a very gorgeous cave, especially the entrance pitch which goes down to a lake and looks just like Lord of the Rings. It is nice to feel I was in group competant and efficient for once, although this was due to Gover's rigging, he seemed to have no problem doing the splits above awkward pitch heads. And we had 4 tackle sacks between us so Ade had to carry 2 at once, ha ha. It was all going swimmingly until... read more

Though i'd like to think that was... read more

This is my favourite cave cos the streamway was really pretty and very low the day we went so we could see the white streaks going all around us and it was very dramatic. I would like to go again so I can attempt all the free climbs without standing on quite so many people and feeling quite so incompetent. Stories of me falling down the rift have been exaggerated, I only slid a little way which got me down considerably faster... read more

Tip, don't go and watch people play in the waterfalls when you broke your ankle two days before & haven't been to hospital yet.

A quick tip for entering complex cave systems: don't do it without looking at a survey/description and certainly don't take directions from someone else who has never looked at a survey/description.
Atfer the wonderful enterance and a wrong turn we ended up in a seemingly endless boulder choke. We decided to leave when the roof found it had a fear of heights and decided it had to reach the floor as quickly as possible.
A good trip, but thoughourly knackering.
