It wasn't that long but it had some 'kin big shafts in it. Using a tackle bag strap as a sling on the last pitch was 'innovative', thanks gove.

The plan for an elite midweek breakaway trip was somewhat foiled by a visit to Ziggy's the previous evening. Still, I only fell asleep at the wheel once which I consider pretty good going, all things considered.

Timings above are somewhat out, I don't think the first group got underground before 1.30pm. Beautiful cave, badly executed trip thus the low fun rating in my vote but a cave I would love to repeat.

This was a very gorgeous cave, especially the entrance pitch which goes down to a lake and looks just like Lord of the Rings. It is nice to feel I was in group competant and efficient for once, although this was due to Gover's rigging, he seemed to have no problem doing the splits above awkward pitch heads. And we had 4 tackle sacks between us so Ade had to carry 2 at once, ha ha. It was all going swimmingly until... read more

If I remember rightly, this was my first caving trip after getting the cask off my ankle :) Was good fun, and nice and efficient too!
